After a year of change in 2013, University Interscholastic League will never look the same again as we head into 2014. When the Texas Education Commissioner approved a number of key amendments that were passed by the University Interscholastic League Legislative Council, the creation of six divisions for UIL sports, including a Class 6A, finally became a reality. In addition, 2014 will see a fourth playoff team added to all team sports at the Class 3A and 2A levels and a reduction in the number of tournaments or meets by one per season for all applicable high school sports.
