James “Mike” White, 66, of Joshua went to be with the Lord and his parents, Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Funeral services were held Friday at Mount Olivet Chapel with interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery. James “Mike” was born Feb. 21, 1948, to the late James Clifford and Irene White. He was a professional snake handler for many years. James “Mike” was a loving and devoted father and grandfather. He had a love for fishing, arrow head hunting, and golfing. James “Mike” always said he was a soldier for the military but a warrior for Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Linda White; children, Tina Williams and husband, Teddy, Angela Smith, Jamie Lewis and husband, Greg, Peni Kimpton and husband, Kerry, Heather Sams and husband, Tyler, Benton White and Jordan, Chance Marlar and wife, Emily, and Candice White; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; and Reba. Greenwood Funerals-Cremation was in charge of arrangements.
