Cherida Mae Gilbreath, age 72, of Walnut Springs, passed from this world, and entered the Kingdom of Heaven surrounded by family, Wednesday afternoon, May 25, 2016, after an extended illness. Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 28, 2016, in the Walnut Springs Baptist Church, 152 4th Street. Rev. T. J. Joyner and Brady Dempsey officiated. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 27, also at Walnut Springs Baptist Church. Pallbearers were Kevin Bean, Jordan Duncan, Garry Baker, Randy Baker, Kirk Dempsey, Ryan Morrow, Joey Speer, and Eddy Speer. Honorary Pallbearers were Al Disanto, Garland Morrison, Meldon Thomas, Bruce McCombs, Jarrell Sutherland, Tommy Speer, Mike Robinson. Pallbearers in Memoriam were Lonnie Halbert and Tommy Vick. Cherida was born to Holland and Dorothy Neace Boney on August 17, 1943 in Breckenridge, Texas. She grew up in Fort Worth, where she attended Diamond Hill schools.
