Funeral services for Billy Elmo

Humphries, 85, were held Monday,

Feb. 18, 2013, in Clifton Funeral

Home Chapel conducted by the Rev.

Robert Rachuig. Interment was at

Norse Cemetery by Clifton Masonic

Lodge #360 and the American Legion

and VFW.

Humphries was born on Aug. 22,

1927, on the Tom C. Parks Ranch in

Bosque County, the son of Arnold and Minnie Kleibrink

Humphries. He passed away on Feb. 15, 2013.

He married Dorothy Anz Benfer on Nov. 4, 1978.

Billy served in the Navy from 1945 to 1947 on the USS


He served as Past Master of the Masonic Lodge #360 in

Clifton and has been a Master Mason for 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Minnie

Kleibrink Humphries; a daughter, Cathy Humphries;

son, Billy Bob Humphries; brother, Arnold Devohn “Rusty”

Humphires; and step-son, Russell Alan Benfer.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Anz Humphries of

Clifton; daughter, Judy Kay; brother, Garland Humphries

of Temple; sister, Claudine and Buddy Young of Cleburne;

brother, Nolan and Shirley Humphries of Rio Vista; stepson,

Ricky Benfer of Clifton; step-daughter, Tammy Harris

of Beebe, Ark.; long-time caregiver, Matthew Bonds; stepgrandchildren,

Nathan Benfer and Stacy, Malinda Webb

and Tony, Rusty Benfer and Ashley, all of Clifton; Jennifer

Harris, Christina and Brian Williams, and Kimberly Kay

Harris all of Arkansas; also numerous nieces and nephews

and step-great-grandchildren.
