City debates reservoir expansion

At the end of a long Clifton City Council called meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 27, a motion by Mayor Pro Tem J.W. Thiele was made “to retain attorney Val Perkins” to continue his legal work and lobbying in Austin for the expansion of the Clifton City Reservoir. The motion passed on a vote of three to two with Thiele and newly sworn in Alderman Tim Mayr, and Phillip Ramariz voting for; Aldermen Richard Spitzer and Joann Gloff voting “nay.”
