Zach Gloff improves to 5-2 on the mound for the Clifton Cubs following the last couple of games.

Clifton Cubs varsity hosted their district rival Crawford Pirates on Friday, March 22. The Cubs behind a quick start on offense and strong pitching from Zach Gloff held on for a 5-4 win, said Coach Brian Slater. The Cub offense got going quickly with back to back singles by Jaren Brooks and Jarrett Wingate to start the game. Crawford then misplayed a Kyler Kleibrink ground ball which allowed Brooks to score from second. Zach Gloff then hit a two-out, two-run double to the wall in Left to extend the lead to 3-0.
