Support nation’s troops, vets in red

As an act of patriotism, Red Friday started with the friends and families of deployed troops during WWII. Shortly after, communities around America would wear a red shirt to show their support for all active servicemen and women, veterans, and prisoners of war. Many have since embraced this tradition of local unity. Bosque County Judge Cole Word signed a proclamation Oct. 31, declaring November as Red Friday Awareness Month in Bosque County.
