Cubs open season with fast start

On Tuesday, the Clifton Cubs took an early lead, 29-13 in the first quarter and extended the solid playing for another three quarters to take the win 70-52 against Maypearl. Senior Zach Thiele showed how the game would be played by putting up 25 points, with Raymond Sadler coming up with another 13. “I thought we played really well on offense, especially in the first half.,” said Coach Dodd Carmicheal. “Our defense will improve as we progress through the season. We only have a couple of weeks before district, so we have to keep improving.”
