Ice freezes out much of Christmas tour

With the start of the icy weather on Thursday night and the thermometers dipping well below freezing, the first portion of the annual Norwegian Country Christmas Tour in Clifton, the parade and evening open houses were all cancelled. The parade was re-scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 12, at 6:30 p.m. Come Saturday morning, with ice covering everything in sight, the day started off slowly as everyone wondered what was – or was not – open for the annual tour. The two homes on the tour, both well outside the city on country roads were reported to be open, while the Old Rock Church and Our Savior’s Lutheran Church were closed.
