NEW YORK - One college football player hoping to hear his name called by a professional football team during the National Football League during the draft beginning Thursday has come a long way since playing football for the Meridian Yellowjackets. But this week, West Texas A&M wide receiver Torrence Allen has a realistic shot at seeing his dreams come true. Allen, a native of Meridian, put the finishing touches on an amazing career at West Texas A&M as he played and started all 14 games and was a first team all-conference selection.
