Born in Dallas, David graduated from Meridian High School. He met Tammy Lanmon and they were married on Dec. 16, 1983 at Lake Whitney. The couple had two children, Daniel and Ashley. The Anderson family bought a house at Lake Whitney when he was around 12 years old. He spoke of moving there and getting a mini bike – he was so excited about getting the mini bike. One of David’s first jobs was at Boise Cascade, delivering shingle around the time of the bad hail storm in the area. That began a career in hardware. He was also a well known writer and known for his crazy off-the-wall humor. He worked for the Clifton Record for many years, writing a column “Onward Thru the Fog.” He also loved covering the Clifton Cubs sports teams for the paper. He always enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Stars, and the Texas Rangers. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, his brother Rex Jr., and his step father-in-law, Blackie Blackman. Survivors include his wife Tammy; children, Daniel and fiancé Laurie, and Ashley and her significant other, Levi; his second mom, Tootie Blackman; brother-in-law Robert and wife, Robin; father-in-law G.W. Lanmon; nephews, Kyle Lanmon and David’s special buddy Skampy. Pallbearers included Cole Word, Jerry Miller, Drew Tindall, Kevin Owens, James Mathews, and Dannie Dale. Clifton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
