Anna “Ann” Laura Moorman Johnson became an angel Saturday, July 12, 2014. Born 75 years ago in Bosque County, TX as the lone child of William Bryan and Alma (Whitney) Moorman, Ann grew up on her loving parent’s farm surrounded by nature, animals, and the company of many cousins with whom she maintained a close relationship throughout her life. Upon graduation from Clifton High School, Ann pursued intellectual enlightenment, attending college at Texas Wesleyan University in Ft. Worth, TX. During that time, another pursuit followed by way of a blind date, and resulted in marriage to Raymon D. Johnson on June 28, 1958. His career endeavors at Kelly AFB led them to reside in San Antonio. There, they began a family wherein Ann would impart her selflessness and devotion to raising and nurturing their three children. Professionally, Ann was a civil service employee for over 30 years at Fort Sam Houston/BAMC. An avid gardener, she created a wonderland of trees and flowers in her backyard, where she also enjoyed spending time in her pool. Additionally, she liked to read, work crossword puzzles and try anything chocolate. She will be remembered for serving wonderful meals, her sweet nature and intellect, as well as her generosity and attentive care. She is preceded in death by her sweetheart of 53 years, Raymon D. Johnson. She is survived by her son Alan Ray Johnson; daughter Teresa Ann Dion, and husband, Don; daughter Vanessa Lynn Johnson; brother-in-law Dwaine and wife, Pat and numerous cousins. Visitation was Thursday, July 17, at Porter Loring Chapel in San Antonio. The farewell service concluded at Mission Burial Park North Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. You are invited to sign the guestbook at
