Heading into the final three games of the 2018-18 Texas high school boys basketball season, the Meridian Yellowjacket boys basketball find themselves in a must-win situation in the race for a Class 2A state playoff berth.

After falling to District 10-2A-leading Goldthwaite, 85-63, last Friday coming off an open date, the Jackets (2-7 in district, 11-14 overall) need victories against Ranger and Hamilton this week before closing out the regular season hosting Hico Feb. 13.

“Right now, we need to win our final three to get in the playoffs,” Meridian boys basketball head coach Joe O’Hearn said. “We have Ranger, Hamilton, and Hico. We won against Ranger last time. And against Hico and Hamilton, we had third and fourth quarter leads. We play two of these final three at home. So, we need people to come out and support us while we make this final push.”
