GWH seeing uptick in COVID-19 cases

Last week in commissioners court it was reported that state assigned nurses were being sent to Goodall-Witcher Healthcare to help cover a staffing shortage due to illness. According to a GWH spokesperson, while four state-assigned nurses are currently at GWH, they are there to help fill some of the 26 positions open across the campus.

Singing Cadets return to Clifton

The Texas A&M Singing Cadets will once again grace the stage of Frazier Performance Hall at the Bosque Arts Center in Clifton. The “Voice of Aggieland” will perform on Thursday, January 13, at 7 p.m.

NYE rockin’ in Meridian

On New Year’s Eve people from all around Bosque County gathered at the Meridian Civic Center for the first ever Bosque Ball hosted by Meridian Parks and Recreation Committee. People from all age groups gathered and celebrated what all hope to be a promising new year.

The holiday season is wrapping up and as you might have noticed among all the holiday decorations, one emblem of the season is mistletoe. Mistletoe is frequently hung over the door as part of holiday decorations and many sweethearts will kiss while standing under mistletoe. And since I am an Okie by birth, I will throw in one from my home state. Mistletoe is the State Floral Emblem. (I know what were they thinking!)
