It’s March in Bosque County, so you know what that means? It’s Texas History Month! The Bosque Museum held its annual Celebrate Texas Independence Contest, and conducted its award ceremony for students in 4th and 7th grade on Wednesday, March 6. This year, the firstplace winners of the artwork and essay contests – along with all the winners’ names – will be on display at the Bosque Museum in Clifton.

Eclipsing the future

The Meridian City Council during its regular meeting on Monday, March 11, approved hiring a temporary police officer for the upcoming total solar eclipse. With funds taken from the hotel-motel tax revenue account, the council allocated up to $3,500 to contract with an officer to cover traffic control duties.

Consumer Price Index increased 0.4 percent in Feb. 2024: Report

The Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) increased 0.4 percent in February 2024 on a seasonally adjusted basis, after rising 0.3 percent in January, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Over the last 12 months, the all items index increased 3.2 percent before seasonal adjustment.
