Cranfills Gap honors vets on National Wreaths Across America Day

Residents of Cranfills Gap participated in Wreaths Across America for the third year in a row Saturday, laying wreaths on each of the graves of military veterans in their community. This December, the National Wreaths Across America nonprofit organization helped place 1.7 million wreaths at over 2500 locations nationwide.

In Monday’s Commissioners Court meeting Bosque County Emergency Management Coordinator Chris Anderson updated the court that the COVID-19 numbers reported by the Texas DSHS website were inaccurate, and in lieu of spreading misinformation, would continue to hold off on posting numbers on the dedicated Bosque County Emergency Management Facebook page.

City swears in council members following Nov. election results

Business was short at Meridian’s December City Council meeting Monday evening at the Meridian Senior Center. Re-elected incumbents Shawn Stauffer, Sharon Wilson and Jackye Hatley, along with new council member Meghann Giesecke were sworn into office by Meridian City Administrator Marie Garland.
