Last chance recertification event set Thursday, July 13

The Bosque County AgriLife Extension Office will be offering a Last Chance CEU Video Event for private applicators that are in need of continuing educational hours for their current private pesticide license. This program will be held on Thursday, July 13, at the Bosque County Extension Office, located at 104 South Fuller in Meridian.

Music of Mancini

The Bosque Arts Center will present “The Music of Mancini” on Saturday, July 8. At 7 p.m., Jukebox Saturday Night, a 10-piece jazz orchestra from Glenn Miller Productions, will take you on a spectacular musical journey, starting from Mancini’s early days with the Glenn Miller Orchestra to the timeless melodies including “Moon River,” “The Pink Panther Theme,” and “Baby Elephant Walk.” A concise narration offers fascinating insights into Mancini’s illustrious career, from his humble beginnings in Pittsburgh to his rise in Hollywood.

Freedom to celebrate

Hundreds and hundreds of folks from across Bosque County celebrated the many freedoms America provides in Clifton City Park on Saturday, July 1. Late afternoon and into the evening, families and friends of different sizes, faiths, and ages participated in the “Fireworks on the Bosque” event that featured live music, food trucks, and outdoor fun.

Stand-up comedy show set at local winery July 8

The first ever Red Caboose Comedy Show will be taking aim at your funny bone on Saturday, July 8, starting at 7 p.m. The show at the winery in Clifton will feature Texas-based comics Alex Cunningham, Justin Moreno, Fernando “Panda” Chacon, and Ryan Shields.
