Free movie night to feature ‘The Jungle Book’ July 15

“Hey Flaps, what we gonna do? I don’t know….Whacha wanna do? I know, let’s flap over to….” the John A. Lomax Amphitheater in Meridian, there’s a movie on. Just imagine Disney’s The Jungle Book vulture scene with Buzzie, Dizzy, Ziggy and Flaps as you read that sentence. Or “look for the bare necessities in life, forget about your worries and your strife” and enjoy a movie with popcorn.

Members of different local organizations, clubs, and businesses volunteered their time to install new electrical lines and equipment in Meridian’s Lions Park on Saturday morning, July 8. With both city equipment and private tools, the team dug trenches to lay the new conduit for the electricity cables and filled the dirt back in.

Last chance recertification event set Thursday, July 13

The Bosque County AgriLife Extension Office will be offering a Last Chance CEU Video Event for private applicators that are in need of continuing educational hours for their current private pesticide license. This program will be held on Thursday, July 13, at the Bosque County Extension Office, located at 104 South Fuller in Meridian.
