TxDOT begins road rehab on Hwy 6 in Bosque County

The Texas Department of Transportation’s Waco District began a road rehabilitation projects on Highway 6 in Bosque County this past Monday. The project will widen the roadway by adding passing lanes and crews will perform a mill and inlay to rehabilitate the pavement.

Public health awareness event set June 15

The Heart of Texas Regional Advisory Council (HOTRAC) will host the “Heart of Texas Public Awareness Night – Saving Bodies, Minds and Hearts” event on Thursday, June 15, in Waco. The free event will give Heart of Texas communities the opportunity to “get to know” their first responders and emergency healthcare people.

Bosque Genealogical Society receives grant for new library

Bosque County Genealogical and Historical Society recently received a $2,000 grant from the Texas State Genealogical Society. The Preservation and Access Grant provided the local genealogical society with funds for supplies to open its library and archives.
