BRA: Few river system reservoirs removed from drought status

Continued rain events in the Brazos River basin have allowed the Brazos River Authority to remove the Stage 1 Drought Watch status from the BRA’s System of reservoirs. The removal of drought designation allows most BRA customer cities, industries and agriculture to change or remove restrictions they currently have in place for water supply use.

Clifton public library to re-open February 26

The Nellie Pederson Civic Library is scheduled to re-open to the public on Monday, February 26. Library Director Lewis Stansell said the library’s latest remodel is nearly complete after several months.

Local forum allows voters to hear GOP candidates

The Bosque County Republican Party offered voters a chance to hear candidates running for county-wide public office on Tuesday, February 13, at the Clifton Civic Center. GOP candidates are contesting four county-level offices in the Republican primary: Bosque County Attorney, Bosque County TaxAssessor-Collector, Bosque County Commissioner Precinct 1, and Bosque County Commissioner Precinct 3.

Clifton City Council approves order, agreement of general election in May 2024

The Clifton City Council during its regular meeting at the Clifton Civic Center on Tuesday, February 13 approved an order of general election for the City of Clifton this spring. In addition, the council approved entering an interlocal agreement between the City and Bosque County for the election set for Saturday, May 4, 2024.
