Jimmy Harold Toten Sr.

Jimmy Harold Toten Sr., 72, passed away at his home in Mosheim, Texas, on May 8.   Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at the Valley Mills First Baptist Church.  Private graveside service will be held later under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center,.

Visitation will be Monday, 5 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s, the American Cancer Society or to the American Kidney Fund.

Jimmy was born July 2, 1946 to Robert and Mildred Louella Toten at Goodall Witcher Hospital in Clifton, Texas and graduated high school in Clifton, Texas. He then went on to meet and fall in love with the woman who stole his heart, Mary Francis Parker. They were united in marriage on June 11, 1966 in Clifton.

Jimmy settled with Mary, his son Jimmy Jr. and daughter Michelle in the small town of Mosheim, Texas in 1976, where he lived out his days. He was a hardworking and loving family man, holding several jobs to support his family, including a Texaco Station he co-owned with his brother Odell in Meridian, and a fencing company he owned with his son Jimmy Jr., until he was no longer able to work.

He was a wonderful fun-loving man with a heart bigger than life. His family and friends were the most important things in his life. Each and every one of us will remember him for his strength, humor, and heart.  Jimmy is preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Harold Toten Jr., his brother, Robert Odell Toten, his sister Janelle Toten, and his parents, Robert and Mildred Louella Toten.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Toten, of Mosheim, his daughter Michelle and her husband Ross Pierce of Stephenville, his grandchildren Krista Toten, Lindsey Toten, Courtney Toten, Skye Toten, Katie Pierce, Hannah Pierce, Ty Toten, Kasey Draper and AJ Dunlap, one very special great-grandaughter, Peightyn Jimmie-Ann Reed. He is also survived by his brother Billy Toten and his wife Betty of Waco, sister Annie Lou Jones and her husband Roy of Victoria, sister Betty Ethel Wade of Arlington, and many loved nieces, nephews and friends. He had also just learned another great-grand baby was on the way.

Pallbearers are:  David Light, Jackie Parker, Jackie Aitken, Lynn McLemore, James Parker, Kasey Draper.
