I n 1973, 423 of the 434 members of the U.S. House of Representatives professed to be Christian. Fifty years later 384 Christians are among the 434 members of the 118th Congress. Smaller in number today, Christians still represent more than 88 percent of the U.S. House while only 63 percent of the adult U.S. population identifies as Christian.
