Johnson County has been designated as a hub for COVID-19 vaccinations and has listed Bosque County as one they are supporting. 1000 doses of the vaccine will be earmarked for the hub each week and will be given by appointment only.

As of 3:30 p.m. Monday, Texas DSHS reported 1,571 cumulative cases of COVID-19 in Bosque County. 1,287 of those cases are confirmed and 284 are probable. 1,399 cases have recovered and there have been 28 deaths.

The coronavirus pandemic has affected the lives of everyone, but none more so than those who lost a loved one to the deadly disease. 27 individuals in Bosque County have lost their lives to COVID-19, and The Clifton Record and Meridian Tribune would like to honor those lives in the next edition of Bosque River Run magazine.

Many Bosque County residents have been asking the same question. “When can I get the vaccine?” During Monday’s weekly Bosque County Commissioners Court meeting, Bosque County Emergency Coordinator Chris Anderson told commissioners there has not been a steady flow of vaccines in the county in two weeks.

Bosque County Emergency Coordinator Chris Anderson gave his weekly COVID-19 update during Monday’s Commissioners Court meeting. Anderson said DSHS combined two databases collecting COVID-19 cases into one, meaning hundreds of thousands of cases across the state weren’t being reported.

COVID-19 cases in Bosque County continue to rise as the remaining doses of the vaccine were distributed last week. On Monday, the Texas DSHS website reported 776 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Bosque County, up 66 from the previous week.
