Longtime Clifton resident Mary Bergman celebrated her 100th birthday on January 6 surrounded by loved ones at the Heckman Residence in Clifton.
Mary was a farm girl and enjoyed playing basketball in school. Raising and selling turkeys on the family farm would eventually pay for two years of school at Clifton Lutheran College, where she continued to play basketball and the piano.
