6 p.m. – The Bosque Arts Center 10th annual Scholarship Variety Show with complimentary wine and hops reception, followed by dinner and the show, takes the stage for two nights. The Time Traveler: A History of Bosque County (sort of) will feature tons of local talent all while raising scholarship money for Bosque County students. Saturday, Feb. 12

10 a.m.- 1 p.m. – The Bosque County Genealogical Society is offering a free DNA Workshop at the Clifton Civic Center, Getting Started on GEDmatch by Patti Huff Smith, a handson workshop. Bring your DNA results and your laptop to learn how to coordinate your results with matches from several testing companies.

6:30 p.m. – It’s Mardi Gras in the Tin Building Theatre. Live zydeco music, gumbo, prizes and dancing are only a part of the fun. Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased online through Feb. 7 at www.bosqueartscenter.org or by calling 254-675-3724. The party is BYOB.

The 18-member ensemble carrying on the legacy of the famous bandleader will play many of the original Miller arrangements as well as modern selections arranged and performed in the Miller style and sound. 6 p.m. – BARK’s 19th annual fundraising Gala will be at Market at the Mill in Clifton. Yappy Hour starts at 6 p.m. and will include a silent auction and raffle, drinks, appetizers and live music.
