Ada Lee Brandon Stapp age 96, of Morgan, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2021, in Clifton, Texas.

Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 18, 2021, at the Morgan Cemetery. Bro. Richard Creech officiated. Visitation was from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Monday at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian. Lunch was served at the Morgan First Baptist Church following the service.

Ada Lee Brandon was born on April 5, 1925, in Non, Oklahoma to Walter Lennie and Nellie Carr Brandon. She was a resident of Morgan, Texas for most of her life. She loved to sew and make things for others. Ada Lee was a fantastic jack-of-all trades and made crafts of all kinds. You could always find a laugh or two at her house. She owned a restaurant with her first husband, Chesley Newsome who preceded her in death also one in Morgan and Kopperl. She worked later at Walls Factory in Clifton, Texas. She married Tommy Leroy Stapp on February 14, 1969, in Glen Rose, Texas. Morgan will be a sadder town without her there.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Darel Newsome and wife, Elsa; daughter, Angela Gail Morgan; sister, Altha Arcand Benoit; grandchildren, Kevin Hass, Theresa Barnett Siedel, Whitney Newsome; great-grandchildren, Justin, Cheyenne and Stucky Hass, Serena Barnett and Terista Hass; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; two sisters; second husband, Tommy Stapp; and grandson, Cody Morgan.
