DAVID HARDY JONES

David Hardy Jones, age 69, of Morgan, passed away suddenly on April 29, 2022, at his residence in Morgan.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 2, 2022, at the Morgan Cemetery in Morgan. Pastor TJ Joyner officiated.

David Hardy Jones was born in Meridian to Charles Hardy and Hazel Catherine Ratliff Jones. He went to school in Morgan and graduated in 1971. After high school he partnered with his father and together they ran a business for a number of years before he was elected as Bosque County Commissioner. He served as commissioner for four years. He continued working for the county as a heavy machine operator for a number of years before finally retiring. After retirement David enjoyed living life. He loved watching his grandchildren grow up, wood working, reading, fishing and enjoying the outdoors. David will be missed by all.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Davalene Schmidt and husband, Adolf, Rave Jones, Maggie Forrest and husband, John, Daniel Jones and wife, Ashley; multiple grandchildren and greatgrandchildren; siblings, Charles Jones and wife, Glenda, Jerry Jones and wife, Donna, Tim Jones; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Charles Hardy and Hazel Catherine Ratliff Jones; and sister, Charlene Hart.
