Gregoria Herrera

Gregoria Herrera, age 84, of Clifton, passed away on September 14, 2021, in Waco. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Clifton. Father Fernando Preciado Villegas will officiate. Burial will be in the Meridian Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 20, 2021. Pallbearers will be Jesus Soto, Jesus Herrera, Fransisco Lopez, Javier Gallardo, Nemesio Vigil, Jake Herrera, Joseph Herrera and Matthew Herrera.

She was born November 17, 1936, to Victoriana Moreno and Donaciano Vigil in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Gregoria was preceded in death by her husband, Cirilo Herrera, and her son Jose Rufino Herrera.

She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and a homemaker.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening, but most of all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and family.

Gregoria is survived by six sons and four daughters-in-law, Simon Herrera, Gabriel Herrera (Francisca), Rodolfo “Rudy” Herrera (Teresa Maldonado), Guadalupe “Lupe” Herrera (Dee Onna), Carlos Herrera (Candelaria “Mona”); six daughters and four sons-in-law, Luisa Alvarez (Juan), Maria Felan, Heriberta “Berta” Herrera, Blanca Soto (Joel), Laura Herrera (Miguel Sifuentes), Ninfa Gomez (Geronimo); 36 grandchildren; 58 great grandchildren; and 23 great-great grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
