Jimmy Dale Vaughn

Jimmy Dale Vaughn, age 84, of La Porte and formerly of Clifton, passed away on February 19, 2021 in Webster.

Per his wishes he will be cremated.

Jim Vaughn, formerly of Laguna Park, passed away on February 19, 2021 in La Porte, Texas.   Jim was born in Vernon in 1936, attended Arlington Heights School in Fort Worth and a was a 1959 graduate of UNT in Denton.

Jim is survived by spouse Lynda Ingram Vaughn; sons Rodney Vaughn and Damon Vaughn; stepson James Doyle; five grandchildren, Austin, Justin, Cyan, Magenta and Heliotrope Vaughn and one step-granddaughter Danielle Doyle. 

Jim was a kind, generous man who will be missed by his family and friends.  Jim was a successful entrepreneur, his first venture was a successful upholstery and furniture manufacturing business, then he and his late wife Nelda moved to Bosque County and started a real estate investment company.  He continued in that pursuit after her death until retiring to the Gulf Coast in December 2020. 

Later in the spring when the weather is warmer the family will set a time and the date for a memorial service at the Coon Creek Cemetery.
