Ruby J. Marckel

Ruby J. Marckel age 79, of Walnut Springs, passed away on October 13, 2021, at her residence surrounded by family. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, October 18, 2021, at Lawson Memorial Chapel in Walnut Springs. Visitation was one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial was at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs. Pallbearers were Gary Collins, Christopher Robertson, Kevin Clark, Michael Gilson, Lance Gilson and Riley Erichsen. Pastor T.J. Joyner officiated.

Ruby J. Collins was born on September 10, 1942, in Claremore, Oklahoma to Hansel and Lovene Sims Collins. She owned and operated an antique store for a number of years. Ruby married Charles E. Marckel, Jr., in 1982. She will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Michael Gilson and wife, Christina, Kevin Clark and wife, Patty, Deanna Robertson and husband, Christopher; stepchildren, Marilyn Shifflett, Steven Marckel; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Abercrombie, Wanda Bullis, Gary Collins, Bill Collins, Raymond Collins; her precious fur baby, Pixie Star; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Hansel Bayles and Lovene Sims Collins; siblings, Jackie Grayson, Sue Davis, Wayne Compton; and husband, Charles E. Marckel, Jr.
