McLennan Community Orchestra to perform June 17

The McLennan Community Orchestra will perform on Saturday, June 17, at 7:30 p.m., in the Frazier Performance Hall at the Bosque Arts Center. Under the direction of Peter Olson, the orchestra will perform a variety of pieces including Peer Gynt Suite No 1 by Edvard Grieg, A Medley for Orchestra by Duke Ellington, a Piano Concerto by Florence Price (the first female African American composer to earn a national reputation).

Veterans to reunite over Memorial Day weekend

A group of disabled combat veterans from 2nd Battalion 4th Marines will gather over Memorial Day weekend in Bosque County. The annual reunion will be a time of healing among the participants that includes the honoring of their fellow Marines who perished during and after their deployment in Iraq.
