• Reahanda Michelle Allen, 35, of Morgan, was arrested on November 21 for resisting arrest, search or transport. • Nathaniel Ryan Lira, 20, of Meridian, was arrested on November 22 for driving while intoxicated, open alcohol container.

Meridian native receives NTAG honor

Petty Officer 1st Class Scott Hewlett, a native of Meridian, Texas, was recently named Navy Talent Acquisition Group Houston’s Senior Sailor of the Year. Hewlett is. a 2004 Meridian High School graduate.

There have been at least 267,818 coronavirus related deaths in the US, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. Locally the cases are still growing as the weather is getting cooler as predicted by experts back in March when the disease started spreading in the United States.

COVIDrestriction rollbacks return to Bosque County

In a letter addressed to Bosque County Judge Don Pool on November 29, 2020 from John Hellerstedt, M.D., Commissioner of the Texas Department of State Health Services, Pool was notified that COVID-19 restrictions related to Governor Abbot’s Executive Order GA-32 were being rolled back due to the number of COVID-19 hospitalized patients exceeding 15% in Trauma Service Area M, which includes Bosque County.

Keese indicted by Grand Jury, turns herself in to sheriff

Rhonda Keese has been indicted by a Bosque County Grand Jury in relation to missing funds from a fundraiser held in January for the son of Kristy Murphy. According to District Attorney Adam Sibley, Keese has been indicted but as of press time, the Meridian Tribune has been unable to obtain a copy of the indictment due to standard operating procedure.
