The best way to protect your freedom to vote is to be a voter and vote. Tuesday, October 10, is the last day to register to vote in time to officially submit your decisions in the Texas Constitutional amendment election in November 2023.

A disc golf tournament is coming to Clifton on Saturday, September 2. Registration is now open for a “Trilogy Challenge,” according to the tournament organizer.

Over 175 children attended the Meridian Public Library’s summer reading program this year. The program ran for seven weeks across June and July, and featured the theme “All Together Now.” The children enjoyed a book reading and a very special craft each week.

The 25th Annual Lucky Clover Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, September 9. The registration deadline is Thursday, September 7.

The Meridian City Council approved accepting the responsibility of hosting the 5th Annual First Responders’ Dinner from the Meridian Parks & Recreation this year. This action was considered and taken during the council’s special meeting on Monday, August 21 at the Senior Center.

The Bosque County Commissioners Court approved a plan to consolidate the voting precincts in the county for only the upcoming constitutional amendment election this fall. The commissioners reviewed two options proposed by the Bosque County Elections Administration during their regular meeting on Monday, August 21.
