Mondays weekly 11:30 a.m. – Bosque County Senior Services / Meals on Wheels Program serves meals to seniors aged 60 and up on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the Family Life Center at 300 North Main Street in Meridian.

Caring people from towns big and small across the nation recently rallied for a family that lost two lives due to a lightning strike outside Valley Mills. Historic downtown Valley Mills and its nearby elementary school parking lot were the sites of a fundraiser for the Boggs family on Thursday, June 22.

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Bosque County will be hosting a private applicators pesticide training on Friday, July 14, located at 104 South Fuller in Meridian. Registration will begin at 8:15 a.m.

Texas will receive approximately $3.3 billion in federal funding for broadband Internet expansion. Right now, 779,378 homes and small businesses in Texas lack access to a highspeed Internet connection, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) said in a press release.
