Bosque County rallies for family who lost father, son to lightning

Caring people from towns big and small across the nation recently rallied for a family that lost two lives due to a lightning strike outside Valley Mills. Historic downtown Valley Mills and its nearby elementary school parking lot were the sites of a fundraiser for the Boggs family on Thursday, June 22.

Texas to receive $3.3 billion for Internet expansion

Texas will receive approximately $3.3 billion in federal funding for broadband Internet expansion. Right now, 779,378 homes and small businesses in Texas lack access to a highspeed Internet connection, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) said in a press release.
